We collect different types of information from Pastors (users who create accounts) and Followers (congregation members who subscribe to receive prayers).

1. Information from Pastors

   When you create a Pastor account, we collect:

   • Account Information: Name, email address, password (encrypted), church or organization name
   • Profile Information: Optional information such as church denomination, location, and profile image
   • Content: Prayers you write, drafts you save, and scheduling preferences
   • Usage Data: How you interact with the Service, features you use, and prayer delivery statistics
   • Payment Information: If paid plans are introduced, credit card information (processed securely through third-party payment processors; we do not store full card numbers)

2. Information from Followers

   When someone subscribes to receive prayers from a Pastor, we collect minimal information:

   • Push Notification Token: A unique device identifier to deliver prayers via push notifications
   • Subscription Data: Which Pastor(s) they are following and subscription timestamp
   • Optional Information: Name (if the Follower chooses to provide it)
   • Engagement Data: Whether prayers were delivered and opened (for analytics)

   Important: Followers can subscribe anonymously. We do not require email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifiers from Followers.

3. Automatically Collected Information

   When you access the Service, we automatically collect:

   • Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type
   • Log Data: Access times, pages viewed, time spent on pages, referring URLs
   • Cookies and Similar Technologies: See Section 8 for details

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

1. Provide and Maintain the Service

   • Create and manage your account
   • Process and deliver prayers to Followers
   • Enable AI-assisted prayer writing features

2. Prayer Delivery

   When a Pastor sends a prayer, we share that prayer content with the Pastor's Followers via push notifications. This is the core function of our Service.

3. Legal Requirements

   We may disclose your information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

   • Comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
   • Protect our rights, property, or safety
   • Protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public
   • Investigate fraud or security issues

4. Business Transfers

5. Aggregated or Anonymized Data

Third-Party Services

1. Google Services

   We use Google services that may collect and process information about you:

   Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our Service. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the site, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to our site.

   Google Analytics Data Collection:

   • Page views and user interactions

   • Referring websites

   You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. OpenAI

   We use OpenAI's GPT models to provide AI-assisted prayer writing suggestions. When you use the AI writing assistant, your draft prayer text is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's data usage is governed by their privacy policy: https://openai.com/privacy

3. Third-Party Links

   Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement reasonable security measures to protect your information:

1. Pastor Data

   • Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account is active
   • Deleted Accounts: Most data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion

   • Backups: Deleted data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days

2. Follower Data

   • Active Subscriptions: Data is retained while Followers are subscribed
   • Unsubscribed: Push tokens are deleted immediately; analytics data may be retained in aggregated form

3. Analytics Data

   Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for research and product improvement purposes.
